Where is the Zig Zag Railway

The railway lies on the western side of the Blue Mountains and runs between Clarence Station at the highest point and Bottom Points Station at the lowest point.
Please note: If you come by car you will arrive at Clarence. If you come by Cityrail train, you will arrive at Zig Zag station, which is at Zig Zag Railway's Bottom Points.
Please take this into account when viewing the timetable.

BY ROAD
Zig Zag Railway, Clarence Station is 150 km west of Sydney in the Blue Mountains, 10 km East of Lithgow on Chifley Road. Travel time from central Sydney is approximately 2.5 - 3 hours. The Railway is signposted at Mount Victoria on the Great Western Highway and at Bell on Chifley Road. There is plenty of parking space at Clarence.

BY RAIL
Main line trains only stop at the short Zig Zag platform on request. If travelling from Sydney (journey time approximately 3 hours) contact the guard before departure and get instructions. If travelling from Lithgow (journey time approximately 10 minutes) contact the guard before departure. This access is not suitable for wheelchairs due to steps from the main line platform. Bottom Points Station is a five minute walk uphill on a concrete path from the main line platform.

CityRail - Blue Mountains runs to a regular timetable,
but if disrupted it will be replaced by a bus service which only operates to and from Clarence Station.
