We want to keep you in the loop on how our scheduled maintenance is progressing.
During routine inspection, our boiler inspector identified some cracked tubes that need replacing before we can safely return to steam. Safety always comes first at Zig Zag Railway, so our team is completing this work properly rather than rushing it.
This means our maintenance period will run a little longer than originally planned. Diesel services continue to run as normal, offering the same stunning scenery and journey through the Blue Mountains that our steam services provide.
We’re not able to give an exact date for steam’s return just yet as this kind of work can take time to get right, but we’ll share an update as soon as we have one. Keep an eye on our socials and website for the latest.
