For one day only, Zig Zag Railway transforms into the Zig Zag Academy of Steam & Sorcery. Climb aboard a genuine heritage steam train, get sorted into one of five Academy Houses, and spend the day exploring magical classes, characters and activities across the historic Clarence Station precinct.
As the sun sets, the magic continues with Movie Under the Stars, a special evening service and outdoor cinema experience at Top Points Station.

- Date: Saturday 3 October 2026
- Location: Zig Zag Railway, Clarence
- Precinct opens: 9:00am
- Academy classes: 9:30am–4:30pm
- Wizards Express departures: 10:30am, 12:30pm and 2:30pm
- Get sorted into one of five Academy Houses: Whitton, Higgins, Belmore, Thornton or Zolfel
- Take part in magical classes including Potions, Pyromantics, Care of Magical Creatures, Herbology, Ancient Runes, Trackology and Zuggle Studies
- Themed food, drink and merchandise available on the day
- Suitable for families and guests of all ages
- Access to café and picnic areas
Movie Under the Stars
- Special 4:30pm Wizards Express departure from Clarence
- Outdoor cinema screening at Top Points Station on a 6m x 3.5m screen
- Limited to 285 guests

Daytime Wizards Express tickets are on sale now. Movie Under the Stars tickets will be sold separately when live. This event sells out quickly each year, so booking online in advance is strongly recommended.
