TICKETS
Tickets are available to purchase online and sold in-person on the day dependant on availability.
Please ensure you have your booking confirmation email available on arrival at the railway for a speedy check-in.
Our shop crew are also able to help guest check-in on confirmation of identification.
CLARENCE TO BOTTOM POINTS, RETURN – 90 minutes
This journey is for those who arrive at Zig Zag Railway by car and park at Clarence.
The train heads down the mountain, stopping briefly at Top Points then continuing to Bottom Points. It then climbs back up to Clarence via Top Points.
The correct ticket must be purchased to travel from Clarence to Bottom Points.
BOTTOM POINTS TO CLARENCE, RETURN – 1hr 45 minutes
Arrive at Zig Zag Railway by electric train and walk to the Bottom Points platform.
The train heads up the mountain, stopping briefly at Top Points then continuing to Clarence. It then returns down to Bottom Points.
The correct ticket must be purchased to travel from Bottom Points Station to Clarence Station. These tickets do not permit you to arrive at Clarence Station to begin the journey
THE WINTER EXPRESS, RETURN 45MINS
This winter, Zig Zag Railway invites you to experience the magic of the Blue Mountains like never before with our brand-new Winter Shuttle service – a cosy 45-minute return journey from Clarence to Top Points and back.
Running on select Fridays at 2:30pm from 23rd May to 12th September, this limited-time service is the perfect way to embrace the cooler season and enjoy the scenic beauty of our historic railway in crisp mountain air. Whether you're a local looking for a unique afternoon outing, or visiting from afar, the Winter Shuttle offers a charming slice of heritage rail travel with a seasonal twist.
Your ticket includes not just the journey, but a special onboard treat to warm you up – our Winter Express fare features a comforting hot drink. It’s all bundled into one simple ticket price, with no extras – just book, board, and enjoy.
