Eight-wheeled Steel Water Wagon, Plain Bearings, suitable for passenger and Express Freight trains.
The water tank on Beyer Garratt locomotives were higher than those on conventional engines. This meant that if it was necessary for them to attach a water truck, full contents of the truck were not available. This problem was overcome by constructing ten new wagons similar to the WW wagons but with a raised tank.
These wagons could also be attached to standard engines and also be used for watering gangs. Despite the last of the Beyer Garratts being withdrawn by 1969, the wagons continued to be used for another 23 years.
