Wagon Nº 32369 was the first of a new class of wagons classified GLC which was built in 1963. It was later re-classified as QLX to conform with the Railways of Australia standard classification that was being introduced for all railway systems. In 1991 it was again re-classified to CLX.

Wagon Nº 32653 was also built as a GLC in 1965 but was later re-classified as QLX and then to CLX similar to Nº 32369.

Both wagons were built by Commonwealth Engineering acquired by Zig Zag Railway in 2003.
